A change in the Weather at WTLV/WJXX…

Sources on the First Coast tell Florida News Center that Jacksonville duopoly WTLV/WJXX and meteorologist Mark Collins have parted ways. He joined WTLV/WJXX in 2003 from Miami’s WTVJ and has work history at other Florida stations WFOR, WTSP, WTWC and the now defunct Florida’s News Channel. WTLV/WJXX had recently posted the open meteorologist position on their website. If you are looking for a new Met, check out Collins’ resume on his website.
Sources tell Florida News Center Collins’ possible replacement is meteorologist Mike Prangley, who debuted on WTLV/WJXX this weekend. However, officials at WTLV/WJXX tell us that no official decision has been made on Collins’ replacement. Prangley returns to television over a year after leaving as chief meteorologist at Lafayette, IN’s WLFI NBC 18. He left WLFI to follow his wife to Florida for career advancement and settled in the Jacksonville area. Stay tuned for further information.
