Brendan McLaughlin joins WFLA…

Brendan McLaughlin to depart WFTS…

After 21 years at Tampa’s WFTS, veteran lead anchor Brendan McLaughlin is leaving the station. McLaughlin, who was one of the original anchors who started the news department at WFTS in Dec 1994, will sign off on Dec 18th.

He stated via Press Release: “Having reported on the people and events of my adopted home town for the last 21 years, I’m forever bonded to this special place and to you, my viewers and friends.

Afterwards, I plan to get back to work pursuing other projects important to me right here in the Tampa Bay Area.”

“I have been anchoring the real news for about 45 years and have sadly met many, worked with a few and fired one,” says Fox 13 anchor John Wilson of WTVT, Channel 13….Cont….
