Leaving WINK…

(edited from News-Press.com) – WINK-TV is saying goodbye to several of its on-air staff.

Chief investigative reporter Melissa Yeager has accepted a position at KSHB-TV, the NBC affiliate in her hometown of Kansas City, Mo. Her last day is scheduled for May 11.

Weekend morning anchor and general assignment reporter Erin Maloney has left the station for a reporting job at Tampa’s Bay News 9.

Finally, reporter Lauren Pastrana has returned to the greater Miami-Fort Lauderdale area and a job at WIOD-AM News Radio 610. (from News-Press.com)

More news in the morning at WINK…

(from News-Press.com) – Just weeks after announcing they will be adding a new 4 p.m. weekday newscast to their schedule, WINK-TV managers now say they are also launching weekend morning newscasts.

Titled “WINK News Now: Weekend,” the newscast will air from 7:30 to 9 a.m. each Saturday and Sunday morning. This time slot leads into the CBS network newscasts that follow.

WINK reporter Erin Maloney has been promoted to the weekend morning anchor and she will work alongside the station’s newest meteorologist, Katie Walls (right). Walls is coming from WSIL-TV, the ABC affiliate in Carterville, Ill….Cont….

Fort Myers comings and goings…

(from News-Press.com) - WINK-TV has a passel of new reporters either already on the air or arriving soon. They include Robert Burns, a Boca Raton native who’s coming to Southwest Florida from KLFY-TV, the CBS station in Lafayette, La. Also look for Erin Maloney, a Tampa native who most recently worked at WCIA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Champaign, Ill. Finally, WINK is welcoming Anjuli Lohn. She was raised in Tampa and graduated from the University of Florida. She’s coming from WAKA-TV, the CBS station in Montgomery, Ala.

Also coming from Alabama is Allyson Rae, who will be new to NBC2’s weather team starting in October. She’s coming from WSFA-TV, the NBC station in Montgomery.
