Viewers on the First Coast tell Florida Center that Jacksonville duopoly WTLV/WJXX premiered a new morning show, First Coast Living, this past Friday.
First Coast Living, hosted by Casey Black and Nick Loren, is aired weekdays at different times on WTLV and WJXX. WTLV/WJXX describes Living as “a new and unique show featuring local community events and businesses in a magazine-style.” The show’s website says that Living is only airing for two weeks, during the holiday season. However, sources tell Florida News Center that WTLV/WJXX expect Living to take off and remain part of their day time line-up.
Casey Black, is playing double duty at Living and her other on-air duties, at the Jacksonville based Pro Golf Association’s PGA Today. As Florida News Center reported in Feb 2010, she left her anchoring duties at WJXT to join PGA Today.
Nick Loren is a Hollywood producer, actor and Top 40 singer who started out in the entertainment business 14 years ago as John Travolta’s stunt double. He splits his time between the Jacksonville area and Los Angeles.
First Coast Living follows the format used by Studio 10, produced by Tampa’s WTSP. WTSP and WTLV/WJXX are sister stations, owned by Gannett. Studio 10 features local and national businesses and guests who pay to be featured on the “local” show.
