WTVJ does the anchor shuffle…

(from TVSpy.com) - WTVJ, the NBC-owned station in South Florida, is shuffling weekend and weekday anchors.

Beginning today, Jawan Strader (right #2) replaces Keith Jones (right #1) as co-anchor of the weekday morning newscast. Strader joined WTVJ in August after a decade at rival WFOR, where he was also the morning anchor. At WTVJ, Strader will join Pam Giganti at the anchor desk.

Jones will shift to weekends, where he will take Strader’s place anchoring the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts on Saturday and Sunday….Cont….

Keith Jones leaving WTSP, to WTVJ…

(from TampaBay.com) – Keith Jones, co-anchor of the morning and noon newscasts at St. Petersburg-based CBS affiliate WTSP-Ch. 10, will be leaving the station next month for the NBC-owned and operated station in Miami, WTVJ.

Jones, who came to WTSP in 2009 from Pittsburgh, is expected to leave the station in mid-July. He’ll co-anchor WTVJ’s 5 a.m., 5:30 a.m., 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. newscasts alongside Pam Giganti; moving south to a station owned by a broadcast network offering new opportunities to move up the industry ladder.

Jones came to WTSP as it was pouring more resources into its morning show — joining co-anchor Ginger Gadsden, who had led the show as its sole news anchor for some time….Cont….

“Who wants to be a millionaire?”…

(from TBO.com) - Two news anchors from WTSP, Channel 10, will be playing “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” for charity.

Ginger Gadsden and Keith Jones (right 1,2) anchors of “The Morning Show on 10 News,” will appear on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” oat 4 p.m. Monday, November 29.

They will be playing the game to benefit The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association’s Go Red For Women awareness campaign for the Greater Southeast Chapter.

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” is teaming with news anchors from across the country during the week of November 29th for a special edition of the game show called “Play It Forward.” ….Cont….
