Oliver, who just turned 40, logged nearly 12 years in the Orlando TV market. He was at Central Florida News 13 from its start-up in fall 1997 through July 2000. He has been at WFTV almost nine years.
His final day at WFTV is Nov. 28. He starts at KCRA on Dec. 10.
Between his two stints here, he was at KREM-TV in Spokane, Wash.
Oliver cited personal reasons for the move to the West Coast. “I’ve always wanted to return home to California,” he said in an email. “My parents, three of my four sisters and their families all live in the Sacramento area, and so when the opportunity to work at another highly regarded news organization like KCRA came up, I jumped at the chance.”….Cont……
