(from TVNewser.com) - (//hattip to FTVLive.com) – Fox News anchor and correspondent Rick Folbaum is leaving the cable news channel to join a local station in Miami as an anchor, FNC confirms to TVNewser. Folbaum’s last day at Fox News will be August 9.
TVNewser hears that Folbaum will be joining CBS owned and operated station WFOR Miami as an anchor, though it isn’t clear what hours he will be on.
Folbaum has been in the Fox family for more than a decade, first as a reporter for FNC (where he covered the Clinton impeachment, among other stories), then as an anchor at Fox O&O WNYW New York, before returning to FNC in 2009….Cont….
Our friends at SFLTV.com report that WFOR is actively searching for a new “TV wife” for Folbaum,to help co-anchor the weekday evening newscasts. This new female anchor will fill the void left open by Shannon Hori, who left the station several months ago. It appears as though WFOR is trying to build a new male/female lead anchor team. Stay tuned to FNC for further details.
