Spear, a New England native, will be the meteorologist for the morning newscast. She comes from WTVJ, the NBC O&O in Miami.

(from TVSpy.com) - For ten hours over a two-day period, Shiri Spear was hooked up to a pheresis machine at Community Blood Centers in Lauderhill, Florida.

For five days leading up to this, Spear had to get a daily injection to increase the stem cells in her blood.

“There were some aches and pains that came along with some of the shots, but it felt a lot like some of the aches and pains that come along with the flu,” she said….Cont….
