WPEC and The Sun Sentinel team up…

(from – Sinclair-owned CBS affiliate WPEC West Palm Beach, Fla. (DMA 38), and the Sun Sentinel have teamed up in an exclusive content partnership. The TV station and newspaper will share photos, videos and other forms of content, and staffers will make appearances across media platforms.

Changes at “SFL LIVE”…

(from – So much for the Sun-Sentinel television show “SFL Live,” which was once billed by Tribune execs as a revolution in programming. Now it’s called “The Morning Show,” a ground breaking name if ever there was one.  This morning they ditched the old set; the hosts are now sitting safely behind a desk. In a memo sent out this morning by Sun-Sentinel Publisher Howard Greenberg (which can be read in its entirety after the jump), Interim News Director Jen Dahl is quoted as saying, “Building on our solid foundation, we wanted to refine the show to further reflect South Florida and meet the needs of our primary target demographic of women 25-54.”….Cont….

Tempers flare in Fort Lauderdale…

As Broward School Board member Beverly Gallagher was leaving the Broward County courthouse yesterday (accused of fraud, extortion and bribery), her son and daughter have several conflicts with Miami market media. Check out the video below, as her son pushes at WTVJ photog off a staircase and holds photogs/reporters back so his mother can escape to her car. The son claims that he’s “trying to find his glasses.” The daughter had hit a photog’s camera once and then threatens to run over everyone as the media catch up to her.
