Blackwell & Grimes to depart WPBF…

(from GossipExtra.com) – Big changes in store for WPBF-Channel 25.

Gossip Extra hears that prime-time anchor Victor Blackwell is so desperate to exit the West Palm Beach/Treasure Coast ABC affiliate that he didn’t renew his contract.

What’s more, News Director Kyle Grimes is expected to be gone by mid-August.

Blackwell, Shea’s morning partner on Fox and the morning co-anchor with Pantelides on CBS 12, has been at WPEC since 1993.

He was known as the newsroom’s on-air workhorse. Unflappable, he was on cameras for four and half hours on weekdays. He has three young children.

Reporter and weekend anchor Kara Kostanich (left), a three-year veteran of the station, was also let go….Cont….
